The chairman of the election commission in Berdyansk said that the ballots did not comply with the requirements of the electoral legislation. Law enforcement agencies opened a criminal case. This is reported by local media.
The head of one of the precinct election commissions discovered the Act of November 20, 2020 on the non-compliance of the ballots with the requirements of Part 4 of Art. 240 of the Electoral Code of Ukraine.
“On this fact, the police opened criminal proceedings on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 158-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (falsification, forgery, theft, damage or destruction of electoral documentation, referendum documentation, abduction, damage, concealment, destruction of the seal of the election commission, referendum commission, ballot box, voter list or referendum participants)”, – said in message.
The article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions.
