Residents began to return to Nagorno-Karabakh

The President of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan stated that 25 thousand residents have already returned to Karabakh. He spoke about this at a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“The flow to Artsakh, the return of our compatriots is going quite fast. In just five days, 25,000 people returned, this is according to the data of our registration center”, – Harutyunyan said.

According to him, those who have housing are returned first. The rest of the residents will return in stages to accommodate them.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that one of the most important tasks is “solving the social problems of the families of the dead servicemen, clarifying the fate of the missing”.

The return of residents to Nagorno-Karabakh became possible thanks to the signing on November 10 by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of a trilateral agreement on the cessation of hostilities in the territory of Karabakh.
