MEPs are concerned about Serbia’s close ties with Russia and China in the field of military and political cooperation, FAN reports.
In their resolution, European politicians expressed concern about the “dependence of the Serbian state on the technology and military equipment of the PRC”. They questioned the transparency of public procurement in the security sector.
The deputies also noted that Belgrade has recently been closely cooperating with Moscow on military and political issues. The European Parliament hopes that “Serbia’s membership in the European Union remains the country’s main strategic goal”.
