US increases pressure on Nord Stream-2 participants

US officials are in contact with companies involved in the implementation of the Nord Stream-2 project and are warning of the threat of sanctions. This was reported on Saturday by the DPA, citing an unnamed representative of the United States government.

“The United States does not want to have to impose sanctions on European companies. We make these calls to warn them and give them time to quit the project”, – the DPA quoted the speaker as saying.

“This pipeline won’t be there”.

The material does not specify on whose behalf the contacts are being conducted and with which companies.
