The second convoy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with humanitarian cargo moved to Stepanakert

The second convoy of the EMERCOM of Russia with humanitarian cargo moved from the Rostov region to the Karabakh Stepanakert, according to the EMERCOM of Russia.

“The second convoy, formed in the Rostov region, is already moving through the territory of the Krasnodar region. Today it will cover 630 km of the way to its destination. A total of 35 pieces of equipment and about 40 personnel are involved”, – the statement says.

It is added that the first convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry will tentatively arrive in Stepanakert in the middle of the day on November 21. At the moment, it has 70 kilometers to go.

EMERCOM of Russia together with representatives of municipalities continues to assess the damage caused during the inspection of damaged buildings in Stepanakert, Martakert, Martuni and Askeran.

The two convoys formed by the ministry deliver 345 tons of humanitarian aid to Stepanakert. Construction materials are delivered by special transport to restore social infrastructure and houses of the affected population. The first humanitarian convoys left for Nagorno-Karabakh on November 20.

On November 10, the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, the situation in which has deteriorated since late September. According to the statement, Armenia and Azerbaijan stop at their occupied positions, then a number of regions come under Baku’s control, the parties conduct an exchange of prisoners, Russian peacekeepers are deployed along the line of contact and the Lachin corridor connecting Karabakh with Armenia.
