Erdogan also expressed the opinion that “the world and especially the developed countries have passed the test of solidarity and mutual assistance during the pandemic”.
According to TASS, at the G20 summit, which is being held in videoconference, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara intends to make its own vaccine against coronavirus available to the whole world.
“I hope that we will provide the vaccine produced by Turkey for the service of all mankind”, – he stressed.
“The G20 platform must prepare and manage mechanisms that will ensure cost-effective and equitable access for everyone to the vaccine”.
This year, the G20 states have already taken a number of measures to counter the consequences of the pandemic. In particular, it was decided to invest $21 billion in the global health care system to support the production and distribution of the coronavirus vaccine. The G20 countries have also committed $11 trillion to the global economic recovery.
