Eight countries support EU decision to extend sanctions against Transnistria

Eight countries have joined the decision of the EU Council of October 29 to expand sanctions against the leaders of the unrecognized Transnistria. This is stated in a statement by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell.

“The candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania, as well as Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, which are part of the European Economic Area, and Ukraine and Georgia, join the decision of the EU Council”, – he said, stressing that the European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
