The U.S. intends to impose new sanctions against Russia due to Navalny poisoning

The US House of Representatives adopted a resolution in the case of Alexei Navalny, in which the US authorities condemn his ‘poisoning’ and call for sanctions to be imposed on Russia

371 congressmen voted in favour of the resolution and 18 voted against it.

The resolution adopted by the Congress House of Representatives is of a recommendatory nature and has no legal force.

Alexey Navalny felt indisposition during his flight from Tomsk to Moscow on August 20. The plane was landed in Omsk as a matter of urgency. Initially Navalny was treated in a local hospital, and two days later he was transported to Germany. The German authorities then declared that Navalny had been poisoned.

Dmitry Peskov, the official representative of the Russian President, reported that before Navalny was taken to Germany, there were no poisoning agents in his body and stressed that Russia was ready for comprehensive cooperation with Germany on this issue.
