Fox: Republicans in Congress demanded an investigation of election irregularities

Jim Jordan and James Comer called for a “fair trial of the 2020 elections”

Two influential Republican congressmen, Jim Jordan (Ohio), a member of the Legal Committee, and James Comer (Kentucky), a member of the Oversight Committee, called on Wednesday the chairmen of these committees, the Democrats, to investigate and hold hearings on alleged “mistakes and misconduct” in the 2020 presidential election. This was reported on Wednesday by the Fox News channel.

Jordan and Comer, according to the channel, sent a letter to Gerrold Nadler, Chairman of the Legal Committee, and Carolyn Maloney, Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, calling on them to “conduct an impartial audit of the 2020 elections”, taking into account statements made by the Election Staff of incumbent US President Donald Trump about alleged ‘irregularities’ and ‘abuses’ during the elections.

“We call on you to hold an immediate hearing to verify the impartiality of the 2020 elections against the backdrop of alarming reports of irregularities and abuses”, –  a fragment of this message states. – “Given your role as the leader of a political party that spent four years unreasonably questioning the legality of the 2016 election by making rebuttable allegations of collusion with Russia, you now owe it to the entire American people to conduct a full investigation of all allegations of factual errors and abuses [in the last election].”
