Ion Kiku, who replaced Maya Sandu as Prime Minister last year, told us what to expect when she became President of Moldova.
“I have no doubt that Maya Sandu will be president. There are doubts that I will remain prime minister until then. Everything depends on the situation”, – Kiku said.
At the same time he stressed that he is ready to work with the new head of the republic in a tripartite format: the President, the Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament. If Sandu refuses such meetings, they will be held without her, the prime minister said.
“The tango dances in pairs, respectively, if you do not want cooperation from the institution, it will not exist”, – the prime minister said.
