Since the beginning of 2020, law enforcement agencies in Russia and other CIS countries have neutralised more than two dozen cells of international terrorist groups.
This was announced on Wednesday 18 November by Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, speaking at a meeting with colleagues from the CIS member states.
“Through joint efforts in 2020 22 cells of international terrorist organizations were neutralized, whose members were engaged in recruitment and transfer of citizens of Russia and other CIS countries to foreign training camps for militants” , – Patrushev said.
