Nikol Pashinyan also reported several hundred missing soldiers in the conflict zone.
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, considers himself to be primarily responsible for the current situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, when military operations in Azerbaijan have led to the withdrawal of a number of territories from the unrecognised republic. He stated this at an online press conference.
“Of course, I understand that I am the main person responsible for this situation”, – he said.
Pashinyan also reported that several hundred soldiers and officers of the Armenian Armed Forces went missing during the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Since the beginning of the war, we have several hundred missing soldiers. I think we will announce the day of mourning after we find our people”, – he said.
We have signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. Representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of Armenia stated that the armed forces of the republic will implement the agreements, and also called on people to refrain from actions that destabilize the situation in the country.
