Klaus Johannis congratulated Sanda on her “crushing” victory in the presidential election.
According to newsmaker.md, the President of Romania Klaus Johannis will come to Moldova at the invitation of President-elect Maya Sandu immediately after her inauguration. This was agreed between Sandu and Johannis during a telephone conversation on 16 November, the Embassy of Romania in Moldova reports.
During the conversation, Johannis and Sandu agreed that the main goal of bilateral relations is to expand and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries for the sake of the country’s European integration.
“And the first step towards this will be the official visit of Romanian President Klaus Johannis to Moldova at the invitation of President Maia Sandu after her inauguration”, – the Embassy said.
