US command moved an armoured vehicle convoy from Syria to neighbouring Iraq on Sunday. This was reported by the SANA agency. According to his information, at least 50 tanks and armored vehicles crossed the border crossing point El Walid. Increased security measures were taken along the convoy’s route.

On Saturday, several dozen U.S. troops left the American base in the village of Al-Malikiya. This is the second group of U.S. military personnel to leave Syria in the past 48 hours.

Previously, the United States systematically increased its armed presence on Syrian territory. The Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported on November 6 that it was equipping a new American military base near the village of El-Bagouz in the province of Deir ez-Zor. In total, since 2015 the USA has established nine military bases in the north-east of Syria. Four of them are located near the oil fields in Deir ez Zor and five more in the neighbouring province of Haseke.
