Many thousands of campaigns were held in Peru. The President has resigned

In Peru’s capital Lima and other major cities, there were thousands of actions protesting against Manuel Merino de Lama replacing the suspended Martin Viscarra.

More than 15 thousand people took part in the demonstration in Lima’s central square, San Martin. The demonstrators said that Merino de Lama was not elected by the people, so he could not represent them. During the rally, the police used tear gas against the demonstrators.
On 9 November, Parliament voted to remove Viscara from the presidency because of corruption charges. His post was taken over by the Speaker of Congress, Merino de Lame, who had already been sworn in as the new head of state.
