CIS observers: elections in Moldova are calm

Observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA CIS) note the correct and calm voting process in the second round of the presidential elections, TASS reports.

“By this hour there are no signals of violations. We managed to visit the polling stations in Chisinau, talked with observers and people. <…> Incidents, aggressive statements by politicians were expected, but everything is calm”, – said Rufat Guliyev, a member of the Azerbaijani parliament.

According to Guliyev, in some polling stations the turnout is 30-40% higher than during the first round of the presidential elections.
