In the USA, the number of fatalities is expected to rise rapidly as the spread of coronavirus breaks records.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have announced a scenario in the national forecast that the number of fatalities will reach 282,000 within the next four weeks.
This is not the worst case scenario in the US. Earlier, analysts at the University of Washington warned that by the end of February, one million Americans would die from the coronavirus.
To date, the number of deaths in the USA has reached 244,000. Growth is being seen against the backdrop of warnings about the lack of personal protective equipment and hospital beds in the Midwest.
“This week’s national forecast predicts that the number of newly reported deaths from COVID-19 is likely to increase over the next four weeks”, – says the CDC’s forecast.
Between 29 November and 5 December, between 5,500 and 13,400 Americans are expected to die.
