Information on the reasons and circumstances for the possible resignation of Adviser Boris Johnson is not provided
The chief advisor to the head of the British government, Dominic Cummings, may leave his post before 25 December, the BBC reported on Friday.
According to a senior government source, Cummings will “leave the government” by Christmas. The BBC provides no information on the reasons and circumstances for the possible resignation of British Prime Minister Adviser Boris Johnson.
Cummings is one of the most demonised figures in modern British politics. He is called the grey cardinal in Johnson’s government and “the architect of Brexit”, attributed to him radical political views, a very strong influence on the Prime Minister and even supposedly “suspicious” connections in Russia, where Cummings worked for several years.
He was the one who led Brexit’s campaign before the 2016 referendum on British withdrawal from the EU. It was also Cummings who was one of the strongest supporters of national quarantine.
