Russian helicopters will monitor the areas where the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh are ending

The Ministry of Defence specified that the helicopters will also be used to deliver logistical equipment and personnel of the peacekeeping contingent to hard-to-reach areas.

According to TASS, Russian Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters will control the areas of cessation of hostilities in the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“The helicopters will be involved in a peacekeeping operation for air monitoring of areas of ceasefire control and military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone”, –  the Russian Defence Ministry said.

The helicopters were delivered to the airfield of Yerevan by military transport aircraft An-124 “Ruslan”.
