According to The Times of India, the withdrawal of weapons will take place in three stages from the Pangong-Cho-Chushul area in eastern Ladakh
According to TASS, citing The Times of India, Indian military sources say that India and China have agreed to withdraw armoured vehicles, artillery and other heavy weapons from the points of contact in eastern Ladakh on the line of actual control between the two countries.
“The withdrawal will take place in three stages from the Pangong-Tso-Chushul area in eastern Ladakh. This will be a big step towards defusing the seven months of military tension in this mountainous region”, – the publication quotes sources as saying.
According to them, Indian and Chinese militaries are now discussing daily on the hotline the conditions and sequence of mutual actions on the withdrawal of weapons on the basis of agreements reached at the last round of bilateral diplomatic and military talks on November 6.
