Presidential elections in Moldova: information about working for Soros disappeared from Sandu’s biography

The leader of Moldova’s pro-Western opposition, Maia Sandu, collaborated with George Soros as a policy coordination consultant for the American oligarch’s foundation.

Sandu is now fighting for the right to become the President of Moldova. She has already made it to the second round with the largest number of votes. It has long been known that she enjoys the support of Western elites. Now an excerpt from the 2009 Soros Foundation report has appeared in the Moldovan media.

In the document, Maia Sandu is listed as an employee of the National Council of the Foundation’s Moldovan office. It is noteworthy that this is not mentioned in any of Sandu’s biographies.

Some sources also report that Sandu served on the government’s reform council in the late 2000s. According to other sources, then she studied at Harvard.
