Turkey hopes that the new US administration will abandon unilateral approaches on regional issues, including those around Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by the Vice-President of Turkey, Fuat Oktay.
“We have disagreements with America on regional issues: Syria, Iraq, Libya, the Eastern Mediterranean, Azerbaijan-Armenia, Cypriot and Turkish-Greek relations… All of this concerns us directly. The attitude of the new administration to these issues will certainly interest us, influence us. We are watching this very closely. Our expectation is that it will stay away from unilateral approaches”, – said Oktay.
