Erdogan and Putin discussed the situation in Karabakh over the phone

Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone by telephone. This was reported by the Kremlin’s press service.

The Presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone by phone, the Kremlin press service reported. The Russian leader, it was noted, expressed “deep concern over the ongoing military actions as well as the increasing involvement of terrorists from the Middle East in the fighting. Putin also informed his colleague about contacts with the leadership of Azerbaijan and Armenia and steps to achieve a ceasefire and de-escalation of the crisis as soon as possible. In addition, the two leaders discussed cooperation in the Syrian direction, including a political settlement with the assistance of guarantor countries of the Astana process.

“The importance of joint efforts to implement the existing stabilization agreements in Idlib and Zaewfraternity was noted”, –  added the Kremlin.

It is noted that the Russian leader has expressed “deep concern in connection with proceeding military actions, and also more and more large-scale involvement in fighting of terrorists from the Middle East”.

Putin also informed his colleague about contacts with the leadership of Azerbaijan and Armenia and steps to achieve a ceasefire and de-escalation of the crisis as soon as possible.

In addition, the two leaders discussed cooperation in the Syrian direction, including a political settlement with the assistance of guarantor countries of the Astana process.
