Donald Trump’s close associates are beginning to prepare him for the prospect of defeat.
The Washington Post reports that, referring to their own sources, the advisors to the incumbent president have been discussing the possible defeat with him for two days now. Trump, in turn, does not intend to admit defeat according to the tradition established in the USA. Thus, he will not give a speech. Journalists’ sources specify that such a decision will allow Trump to claim that the vote was rigged in the future.
Trump’s surroundings have been split to date. One part believes that victory is still possible, but it will have to be achieved. The other is skeptical and believes that the elections have been lost. As the Washington Post notes, the second part is more numerous.
The most controversial presidential race in US history continues. According to Associated Press, Trump can count on 214 votes and Biden on 264. The New York Times has a different score: 213 for a Republican and 253 for a Democrat.
