Lukashenko called the presidential election in the USA a disgrace

The Belarusian leader considers them “a mockery of democracy”.

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, believes that Belarusian-American relations will not change with any outcome of the US presidential election.

“I do not expect that the situation will change in our relations”, –  BelTA quoted Lukashenko as saying, who answered journalists’ question about the possible impact of the results of the American elections on relations between Minsk and Washington.

At the same time, the Belarusian president negatively assessed the American presidential election held on November 3, the results of which have not yet been summed up against the background of statements of both candidates, Donald Trump and Joseph Biden, expressing confidence in their victory.

“You will see what is going on with these elections. This is a disgrace, a mockery of this democracy”, –  said Lukashenko.

The Belarusian President reminded that Western countries did not recognize the free and fair presidential elections held in Belarus in August and called for a second vote. Lukashenko believes that U.S. partners and allies will not make similar demands on the U.S., despite the fact that the current U.S. president, Republican Trump suspects supporters of his rival, Democrat Biden in the fraudulent vote counting. “I can say now: they will not, they will not,” said Lukashenko, referring to the possibility of international demands for repeat elections to the United States.
