NBC: Twitter deleted Trump’s ex-assistant account for calling for the head of the FBI to be killed

Stephen Bannon called for the physical assault of FBI head Christopher Ray and Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the USA.

Twitter on Thursday deleted the account of the podcast War Room political consultant Stephen Bannon, formerly Assistant to US President Donald Trump. The blog posted a video of Bannon calling for the physical assault of Christopher Ray, head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NBC reported.

“The @WarRoomPandemic account has been permanently deleted for violation of Twitter rules”, –  the television company cites a statement from the company’s official representative, the operator of the eponymous microblogging service. –  “The platform observes a policy against glorification of violence”, –  the text says.

The YouTube video service has also removed the video mentioned above. In the video, Bannon says he would have decapitated the directors of the FBI and the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to “put their heads on spades” as a “warning to federal bureaucrats,” she told the NBC, without explaining the reasons for the treatment.

Bannon held a key position in Trump’s campaign headquarters in 2016. He was later appointed to the position of Chief Strategist for the administration, which was established at the White House. In August 2017, however, he decided to resign. The media then claimed that his relationship with Trump had seriously deteriorated.

Bannon and three other people were arrested on 20 August in the USA for embezzling a significant portion of the more than 25 million voluntary donations raised by the non-profit organisation We Build the Wall. All four are facing charges on two counts: electronic fraud and money laundering. Each of these charges carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
