US elections: one state to decide Biden’s victory

In the United States, the counting of votes in the presidential elections continues.

According to the latest data, Democratic candidate Joseph Biden widened his lead over the incumbent Republican President Donald Trump in the final round of the vote count. According to him, Biden has already received 264 electoral college votes out of the 270 needed to win. Trump has 214 votes so far. The Democrat is ahead of the Republican in terms of the number of votes – 50.4% versus 48%.

The Democratic Party candidate won victory in the “wavering” state of Wisconsin, as well as in the state of Michigan. Currently, Biden leads the state of Nevada by a small margin: 49.33% of voters voted for him, while Trump was supported by 48.69%. A victory in any as-yet-undecided state, with the exception of Alaska, which has only three electors on the electoral college, but including Nevada, with its six electoral votes, would be enough to end Trump’s tenure in the White House.

Nevada’s election officials said they still have to count the votes cast by mail.
