Le Figaro, citing a statement from the US Department of State, reported that the US Administration on November 3 approved the sale of four MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles to Taiwan for $600 million to strengthen the protection of the Taiwanese army.
“This sale will allow Taiwan to modernize its armed forces and maintain a reliable defense potential”, – the US State Department said.
As previously reported, the US administration has approved the sale of 135 Slam-ER coastal defense cruise missiles to Taiwan, which have sufficient range to reach China. The deal is valued at $1 billion.
