The seemingly endless night of summing up the results of the 2020 presidential race has come to an end.
The title of the main loser of this election campaign rightfully goes to the entire industry of liberal sociology. As it was predicted even months before the elections, the would-be sociologists, who were betting on a confident victory for Biden, were at a broken trough – we hope for their mass layoffs.
Trump has performed successfully – he has won in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and Georgia. Trump is likely to win in three Midwest states – Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.
However, good old electoral machinations will now come into play. In Georgia, two large districts have not yet finished counting votes – because of the “leaking pipe” in the ballot room. And in Pennsylvania, they will be throwing ballots through mail voting for three days.
It is significant how the news outlets are in no hurry to give Trump a victory – for example, after summing up 95% of the results in North Carolina, he is still not the “official” election winner in this state.
Trump’s vulnerability turned out to be Arizona – here Biden was able to dominate the early voting. But there is still a possibility that Trump will be able to break out in a face-to-face vote – the ballots received in this way are not yet counted.
Trump beats Biden by 4% in Wisconsin, 9% in Michigan and 14% in Pennsylvania. However, Biden himself is confident that he can still win in these states. Local election commissions plan to sum up the final results sometime before the weekend.
The American president did the impossible – de facto he was able to be re-elected amid the worst economic crisis in 80 years and a global pandemic. The main thing now is not to let the democrats steal this victory from him.
