Terrorist attack in Vienna: two people killed

On November 2, in the Austrian capital, several unknown persons armed with rifles started shooting at six different locations. Two people died. 15 people were injured.

“Two people became victims of the shooting. After the murdered man, one more woman died from injury”, – said Vienna Mayor Michael Ludwig.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz called the attack a terrorist attack.

The motives and exact number of criminals are not yet known. One attacker was killed, others were able to escape. The anti-terrorist operation continues in the city. The authorities urged the residents of Vienna not to leave their homes.

Jihadists claim responsibility for the terrorist attack in Vienna. 

The American organization SITE Intelligence group, which is engaged in tracking the actions of terrorists in cyberspace, stated this in a message on Twitter.

“The jihadists said the attack in Vienna was part of the payback for Austria’s participation in the US-led coalition”, – the report said.
