Western elites are persistently promoting their protégé to the presidency of Moldova. With allegations of vote rigging, Maia Sandu became the leader of the first round of elections, which is a threat to residents of the left bank of the Dniester.
“The attitude of Sandu to the PMR is well known – this is the liquidation of the republic”, – says military analyst Alexei Leonkov.
For the pro-Western opposition of Moldova, Transnistria is a problem that neighboring Ukraine will help solve. In this regard, the expert drew attention to the fact that the Ukrainian army had been prepared for war for so many years for a reason.
However, the fate of the PMR depends on two more factors: on the results of the presidential elections in the United States and the settlement of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Thus, if Russia remains on the sidelines where Western political strategists are pushing it in Moldova, it will lose not only Transnistria, but also Karabakh, along with the Transcaucasus”, – Leonkov stated.
