US President Donald Trump has reduced by one percentage point the gap in public support from his opponent Joseph Biden, the Democrat candidate for the top government position. This is evidenced by the published results of a public opinion poll commissioned by The Wall Street Journal and NBC television.
According to his data, the gap between candidates has narrowed by 1 percentage point to 10%. If the presidential election were to be held now, 42% of Americans would vote for Trump. Biden would have been voted for by 52% of voters. The results of a similar survey conducted by The Wall Street Journal and NBC in mid-October showed almost the same pattern. At that time 42% of respondents were ready to support Trump and 53% were ready to support Biden.
