The Latvian Public Services Regulatory Commission has approved a methodology that should prevent electricity produced at the Belarusian NPP from entering the country. This was announced to journalists by the head of Public Services Regulatory Commission Roland Irklis.
“The basic principle of the methodology provides that, for example, Russia, which has a network connection with Belarus, will have to provide confirmation that electricity supplied to Latvia from Russia is not produced in Belarus”, – said the Latvian official.
According to him, this method has also been approved by Estonia, confirmation is expected from Lithuania.
