Serbia has a new government

It is headed by Ana Brnabic, who has held this position since 2016.

According to UNN, the Serbian parliament, which for the first time in history has no opposition, has elected a new government.

“Most of the ministerial posts were held by members of the Serbian Progressive Party, which is headed by the head of state Aleksandar Vucic. His party has an absolute majority of parliamentary seats. They formed a coalition with longtime partners, the Socialist Party, which was founded by former Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic. The mentioned parties ruled the country during the wars in the nineties of the last century”, – the message says.

Prime Minister Brnabic called the main tasks of the new government the struggle for the health of the nation, the political struggle for Kosovo, maintaining good relations with neighboring countries, and developing relations with the United States of America, Russia and China. She noted, in particular, that women were promoted to 11 out of 23 ministerial positions.
