Before throwing accusations, Lithuania did not even bother to send experts to assess the safety of the BelNPP.
This was announced on Thursday, October 29, by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus, commenting on the note of the Lithuanian government, according to which the Belarusian nuclear power plant is allegedly unsafe.
The ministry noted that Lithuania regularly tried to discredit the project, and it was absolutely unsubstantiated.
“We haven’t received any proposals on visiting the Belarusian nuclear power plant by Lithuanian specialists in order to assess its safety on the spot. Constructive dialogue did not take place due to lack of feedback”, – the statement said.
The ministry also emphasizes that a hasty launch of the nuclear power plant was out of the question, and pre-launch operations are carried out in strict accordance with the schedule of milestone programs under the strict control of supervisory authorities.
