Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said he was ready to conclude a peace treaty with Russia. He said this, speaking at a plenary session of the upper house of parliament.

“We are consistently adhering to the course of resolving the territorial issue and concluding a peace treaty with Russia”, – the Japanese prime minister said.
Suga noted that in September, during a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, an agreement was confirmed to extend the dialogue on all issues, including the conclusion of a peace treaty.
