Former President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin sent an open letter to the Information and Security Service with a question about the likelihood of finding secret US military biological laboratories on the territory of the republic.
In his message, Voronin expresses concern that “the media have repeatedly reported that a network of secret US military biological laboratories has been deployed in the countries of Eastern Europe, in particular the CIS countries. In this context, the Republic of Moldova was also mentioned several times”.
These laboratories are not under the control of the official authorities of the states in which they are located.
“The very fact of the presence in the country of foreign secret military facilities working with military viruses not only poses a threat to the life and health of the population of the country, not only contradicts the national interests of the Republic of Moldova, but also comes into direct conflict with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, proclaiming the permanent neutrality of the Moldovan state”, – Voronin writes.
He emphasizes that “the pandemic has demonstrated the mortal danger of infections, especially infections that are specially grown as weapons of mass destruction”.
“Due to the highest public interest in this topic, being a responsible political force, the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova would like to receive answers to the following questions.
1. Can the Information and Security Service confirm or deny the presence of the US military biological laboratory on the territory of the Republic of Moldova?
2. If this kind of laboratory operates in Moldova, then on the basis of which bilateral agreement does it take place?
3. What documents govern the operation of this facility?
4. Do the representatives of the relevant departments of the Republic of Moldova have the opportunity to control the work of the laboratory and carry out regular checks for the safety of the experiments being carried out? We look forward to receiving comprehensive answers on this topic”, – the open letter says.
