Media: Unknown people have attacked a police building in Afghanistan

A booby-trapped vehicle exploded near the walls of the building, after which a group of armed men entered the premises, TOLOnews TV channel reports.

A group of unknown persons stormed the building of a special police unit in Khost province in eastern Afghanistan on Tuesday. TOLOnews reports with reference to the local police chief that several members of the security forces were injured in the clash.

According to law enforcement agencies, a booby-trapped vehicle exploded near the walls of the building, after which a group of armed men entered the premises and clashed with the police. It is noted that the security forces managed to destroy another vehicle with attached explosives. No other details have been given yet.

To date, no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
