Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held a videoconference with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdulla Hoti.
It was mediated by the European Union Special Representative for the Dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, Miroslav Lajcak, and was devoted to security issues.
This is reported by REGNUM, citing the Albanian news agency Telegrafi.
The meeting was not calm. It was accompanied by sharp clashes between Vucic and his opponent. The Serbian President demanded that Hoti stop talking about Serbia and Kosovo as two different states.
“I told him a thousand times not to use that wording. If you want a rapprochement between us, don’t say that. There are no two states, there is one state that is a member of the UN in accordance with Resolution 1244. We must respect each other. When we talk about a compromise solution, we cannot talk about Serbia recognizing Kosovo and Kosovo recognizing Serbia”, – Vucic said.
