Third US presidential debate – better than expectations

Third Presidential Debate Held Live on NBC News.

They took place in the capital of Tennessee, Nashville. Not long before the debate, it seemed that there would be complete chaos: bickering, insults and microphone cutoffs. But in the end they turned out to be surprisingly meaningful.

Trump and Biden did not interrupt each other very often, and they managed to have a normal hour and a half discussion on American issues. Biden looked tired, Trump looked more cheerful, but overall, both candidates performed well.

In one of the few moments of honesty, Biden admitted that he would shut down the entire oil industry, leaving 10 million Americans unemployed. His campaign immediately rushed to refute the words of its own candidate.

Funnily enough, when discussing the North Korean issue, Biden stated that America had good relations with Hitler until he began to invade Europe.

But the funniest thing: Biden called Trump the most racist president since Abraham Lincoln. That is, the president who abolished slavery and freed slaves.

Trump’s question turned into a meme: “who built the cages?” This is how he reacted to Biden’s accusations of detaining migrants at the border. As you know, cages for migrants have been actively used since at least 2013, during Biden’s vice presidency.

Trump has managed to devote a lot of time to the corruption of the Bidens family. Biden’s former business partner Tony Bobulinsky, who is now cooperating with the investigation, was invited to the debate. Joe denied all charges – but not the veracity of his son’s documents.

Both candidates performed better than expected. Trump has shown himself to be reserved and serious. Biden, on the other hand, turned out to be better prepared than he was in the first debates – although he often did not provide specific answers.

In a Fox News poll, 74% of viewers gave the victory to Trump, in a CNN poll – 53% named Biden the winner.
