Turkey will not integrate S-400 into NATO command structure

Turkey will use the S-400 air defense systems, which it bought from Russia, regardless of the NATO system. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the country Hulusi Akar.

“The S-400 will not be integrated into NATO’s command and control infrastructure. They will be involved independently”, – he said.

At the same time, he noted that the purchase of Russian weapons “does not mean that Ankara is moving away from NATO”. True, relations between Turkey and the Alliance are now, to put it mildly, not in better shape.
