The EU representative to the Republic spoke about the upcoming elections
According to zdg.md, the Head of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, Peter Michalko, said that the European Union is closely monitoring the electoral process, including the election campaign, and will continue to monitor developments after the elections, as well as compliance with international standards in the November 1 elections.
“The European official stressed the importance of holding free and fair, transparent and credible elections first of all for the citizens”, – the message said. – “At the same time, the ambassador warned against negative phenomena of the past years, such as the purchase of votes, use of administrative instruments, transportation of voters, and regretted that the Chisinau authorities did not adjust the Electoral Code, based on recommendations made after the presidential election 4 years ago”.
