“You will not see the end of his career”, – believes Steve Bannon.
Former US presidential adviser Steve Bannon believes that even after losing the election in November, Donald Trump will continue to fight for the presidency. Bannon said this in an interview with The Australian on Monday.
“You will not see the end [of the career] of Donald Trump. He will win on election day. And I can make a prediction now, <…> if for some reason Joe Biden is declared the winner, Trump will say he is going to run in 202”, – Bannon’s quote.
Trump, the former chief strategist, also noted that the results of the upcoming US presidential election are likely to be “contested in the Supreme Court” and it is unlikely that their recognition will be “resolved quickly enough”.
Bannon held a key position at Donald Trump’s campaign headquarters in 2016. He was later appointed Chief Strategist for the White House. However, in August 2017 Bannon decided to resign. The media then claimed that his relationship with Trump had seriously deteriorated. Bannon had previously expressed his support for right-wing and ultra-right associations.
The general elections in the USA will take place on 3 November. It will elect a president and vice president, all 435 members of the House of Representatives and a third of the Senate, and governors of 13 states and territories.
