In the US, they demanded that Azerbaijan and Turkey be punished for shooting at Nagorno-Karabakh
More than 100 members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives made this demand.
They believe that “the Erdogan and Aliyev regimes must be punished”.
“The Administration (USA) must listen to its own special services, which know very well that Azerbaijan initiated this attack, and urgently heed the call of the Congress, which requires – on a bipartisan basis – to impose sanctions against the Erdogan and Aliyev regimes”, – said Aram Hamparyan, Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).
According to him, the Congress is even preparing to “send a powerful signal” to Ankara and Baku and, first of all, the White House and the American Ministry of Finance. The House of Representatives believes that the US should intervene.
Such a step may not be the best solution. There are no more sides to the conflict in this situation. We need to negotiate and stop fighting. The best thing that Washington can do is to act as a mediator.
