Russia rejected the idea of Turkey to implement the Syrian scenario in Karabakh

Ankara had hoped to divide Nagorno-Karabakh into zones of control, but the attempt to drag this scenario through was unsuccessful.

This was told by Lieutenant General Vagharshak Harutyunyan, Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister of Armenia.

The model proposed by Turkey was used in Syrian Idlib, which is still a stronghold of terrorists in the country. Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, had previously made such a proposal.

Moscow has firmly rejected such a concept, said Harutyunyan. According to him, the plans of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem have completely failed.
