In the opinion of the Belarusian leader, the situation in Belarus and the reaction of Russia to it demonstrate the importance of the CSTO
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko once again emphasized the role of the CSTO in the post-Soviet space.
“The events in August and Russia’s reaction to these events demonstrate that this organization is very important and we need to develop it. In my conversation with Putin, I just said that: now we have probably understood what the CSTO is and what we need this organization for”, – said Lukashenko.
