The American Embassy in Moldova said that the fugitive leader of the Moldovan democrats, Vladimir Plahotniuc, had left the USA.
As it turned out, he left the States as early as 28 August, even before the deportation process was completed.
“The focus of the sanctions was precisely on removing visas for Plahotniuk and his family”, – said American Ambassador Derek Hogan.
