Vladimir Plahotniuc, the fugitive leader of the Moldovan Democrats, still has power over some officials, judges and parties in the country.
Political expert Valentin Krylov is sure of this.
“Without a doubt, his pressure on some courts and divisions of the prosecutor’s office remained. Also, in my opinion, he continues to cooperate with political formations that are the successors of his cause. Let them do it under different names, but the essence of their actions does not change from this”, – he said in an interview with Sputnik Moldova.
In addition, the political scientist noted that the future of Plahotniuc’s extradition will be decided only after the presidential elections in Moldova. And the United States will greatly influence this decision.
