In Minsk, the security forces completely cleared out the central districts of the city, where on Sunday the so-called opposition made an attempt to gather to destabilize the situation.
Traffic on Nemiga Street is unlocked. The protesters are grouped in dozens of people in the streets adjacent to Nemiga. The protests moved to the Pushkinskaya metro area, where several thousand people gathered. To disperse them, the security forces used water cannons and began to detain the march participants.
The sounds of gunshots and explosions are heard, presumably stun grenades.
Let us remind you that on August 9, presidential elections were held in Belarus, in which Alexander Lukashenko won with a result of 80.1% of the votes. After that, mass protests began in the republic, which have been going on for two months. The opposition refused to recognize the election results and announced the creation of the Coordination Council. Lukashenka called this an attempt to seize power.
