The EU is preparing to impose personal sanctions against Lukashenko

The European Union is ready to introduce personal sanctions against President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The EU foreign ministers plan to approve a formal decision.

This was announced on Twitter by journalist Rikard Jozviak:

“On 12 October the ministers will meet at a meeting where they will adopt ‘ambitious conclusions’ regarding Belarus.
They explicitly say that Lukashenko may fall under the sanctions of Europe.”
